  • 8oz Kansas City Boneless Ribeye Steak
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper
  • 2 bagels
  • 1 medium green tomato, sliced
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • 1 cup panko bread crumbs
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 2oz cream cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated sharp cheddar
  • 1/4 cup grated Monterey Jack
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon pimentos, mashed
  • 1/2 small onion, sliced
  • 2oz pepperoncini slices
  • 6 red pepper slices

Brush steak with olive oil and season with salt and pepper. Grill 5 or 6 minutes on each side until desire doneness is achieved. Remove steak from grill and allow to rest for 5 minutes. Cut steak into ½ inch slices. Cut bagels in half, brush with butter and place cut side down on grill. Remove from grill when lightly toasted. Fried Green Tomatoes In 3 shallow bowls, place flour, egg and bread crumbs. Dip tomato slices in flour then egg and finally in bread crumbs. Fry in vegetable oil until golden brown. Remove from pan onto paper towel and sprinkle with salt. Pimento Spread In a small mixing bowl combine cheeses, mayo, garlic and onion powder and pimentos. Mix with mixer until fluffy and well combined. To assemble: Place bottom of bagel on serving plate. Top with pimento spread and fried tomato. Top with steak, onion, pepperoncini and red pepper slices. Spread top bun with a light coat of mayo and place on top of sandwich. Makes 2 sandwiches. Sometimes the best sandwiches are simply a matter of using great ingredients like Kansas City Steaks. So how do you make a great sandwich even better? You really don't have to do much.
