  • Cooking

Thaw prime rib roast in refrigerator for at least 3 days before preparing.

Place meat fat side up on rack, in a shallow roasting pan. Season with Original Steak Seasoning (included in your order). Rub evenly over surface of netted roast, leaving netting on while cooking. Do not add water or cover.

Roast in 375°F oven until meat thermometer inserted into the center of the roast registers an internal temperature of 135°F (approximately 1 ½ hours) for medium rare or 145°F (approximately 1 ½ to 2 hours) for medium.

Cover roast with aluminum foil tent and allow to stand 15 to 20 minutes. Remove netting and trim excess fat before carving.

Our roasts are available in various sizes. Adjust cooking times when appropriate. We suggest using a meat thermometer to ensure proper doneness.

why would it take that long for answer

USDA Prime is the tenderest graded cut available, and this is our Prime Rib in that grading. While Prime RIb is incredibly tender naturally, the Filet Mignon is actually a more tender cut of the cow. If you are looking for truly the most tender offering we have, you may want to check out the USDA Prime Chateaubriand.

Does the sodium content of 70mg/4 oz serving the sodium content after the original steak seasoning is put onto the meat, or if the meat is cooked without the seasoning packet you include in the order?.

    Asked by: caj1
The sodium content of our products in the nutrition section on our website does not include the added seasoning. That is calculated separately. Reagan Customer Service Kansas City Steak Company
