There’s a brisket renaissance sweeping through restaurants across the nation. With flavor this big, it’s no wonder. We decided to take matters into our own hands—and yours—with the juicy brisket burger. Our mix of 60% brisket and 40% chuck gives you the ground beef texture you know and a taste you never knew was possible. Each bite reveals a layer of hearty beef flavor for a tasty burger with some edge.

  • Cooking

    Kansas City Steak Company burgers can be prepared from either frozen or thawed. Use easy peel corner to remove top of plastic and take out patties. Burgers that are 5 ounces or less are packages 2 per vacuum seal with wax paper separating each patty. Be sure to remove the wax paper before cooking.

    For Food Safety: Cook until product reaches 145°F, as measured by a food thermometer, and hold the product at or above that temperature for 3 minutes.

    On the Grill - Sear burgers 1 minute on each side over direct heat to seal in juices. Move to indirect heat. Grill for 6 minutes per side, checking to ensure patties are not burning. Do not press burgers with spatula.

    Grilling Machine - Preheat 5 minutes. Place burgers on grilling machine and close lid. Cook approximately 6 minutes, or until internal temperature reaches 145°F as measured by a food thermometer, and hold the product at or above that temperature for 3 minutes.

    Broiling - Preheat oven broiler for 10 minutes. During broiling, the oven door on electric ranges should remain ajar; the oven door on gas ranges remains closed (consult your owner’s manual for specific broiling guidelines). Place burgers on broiler pan rack and cook for approximately 6 minutes per side, or until internal temperature reaches 145°F as measured by a food thermometer, and hold the product at or above that temperature for 3 minutes.

    Pan Frying - Preheat a skillet or grill pan, place burgers in pan, cook on medium heat, flipping occasionally, until internal temperature reaches 145°F as measured by a food thermometer, and hold the product at or above that temperature for 3 minutes.

    Rated 3 out of 5 by from I don't see the big deal... It's not KC's fault; I've had other brisket burgers I wasn't exactly giddy over. I find them a bit on the chewy side. This time around I cooked them on my Blackstone griddle and cooked them to about a medium to medium well. I sometimes find chewy pieces of something in the brisket...maybe brisket fat? Anyway, my kids noticed the same thing. As the burgers go, I was struck by the color of the burgers and how fresh they looked. They looked as if I bought them at the butcher down the street. I wish the other burgers I purchased looked as fresh. The angus burgers not so much. As burgers go they were somewhat flavorful. That said, I haven't found any combination of anything that beats good ole freshly ground chuck.

I don't think I'd be able to tell you what made it better in a blind taste test, but the fact remains it is just really good.

Had one tonight with your steak fries I'm hooked on Kansas City Steaks for all my beef products. Fixed the beef tenderloin tips over rice---so tender and delicious! Already ordered my prime rib and ham for the holidays.
