Combine all sweet-sour sauce ingredients in a saucepan. Cook over low heat until clear and thickened, stirring constantly. (if desired, add pineapple, green pepper and onion during last 4 or 5 minutes.) Add lemon-lime beverage to 1 cup of sweet-sour sauce to make a tenderizing marinade. Pour marinade over pork chops, cover and chill overnight. Grill chops over medium-hot fire for 10-12 minutes per side, turning only once. Baste chops with sauce during last 4-5 minutes of grilling time.
