With its deep red-orange color and firm texture, our wild- caught sockeye salmon is one of the most intense, flavorful filets you will ever experience. As one of the fattiest salmon, the sockeye is loaded with Omega-3 fatty acids. So good, and so good for you, too.

Wild Caught Sockeye Salmon is rated 3.5 out of 5 by 9.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from BEST OF FROZEN SALMON AVAILABLE Well, I am disappointed. I bought two boxes of these and they are all gone, came back to order more only to find them out of stock. I don't buy fish much any more and when I do find some frozen fish that I like, it is very unusual. I lived in San Francisco for nearly twenty years and never had a frozen fish the whole time, so I am a little picky now about fish. I loved the ability to buy fresh fish that had never been frozen as all the flavor was still there, just like when I would go fishing in the Rockies. But having moved in land to Northern Arizona, frozen is what is available. Starting ordering on line but most was disappointing, that is, until I tried these from Kansas City Steaks. Have been ordering meats from here for at least 5 years now and was surprised when they offered these salmon. While not as good as fresh that has never been frozen (nothing really is) these make a suitable substitute. Have enjoyed fixing them several different methods with different sauces, made from scratch. Like I said earlier, am disappointed not available now.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Different Taste I bought the fish but k thought it was the marinated salmon steaks that l usually buy. These turned out to be sockeye salmon. Different taste but very good, l found the it make a good salmon salad because of its texture. Yes l would by this item again along with the marinated salmon steaks.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Less than expected What does "wild caught" mean? The small size of the fillet speaks to "farm raised" rather than fish that matured in the open ocean. The color is suspect as well. It is much darker than most other salmon I have eaten and the color is not evenly distributed throughout the fillet. I prefer fish with the skin removed. The skin does not appreciably add to the moisture or flavor of the fish. The skin is usually left on to add more weight to the fillet so it will cost more. The flavor was very good and the flesh was moist. For me it was overpriced for the amount of edible product in the fillet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from WILD CAUGHT SOCKEYE SALMON We bought WILD CAUGHT SOCKEYE SALMON and other items from Kansas City Steak Co. to serve to family that came for Christmas Holiday. We had our Christmas Holiday dinner on Christmas and served the WILD CAUGHT SOCKEYE SALMON and other items we purchased prior to and after Christmas Day Celebrations. Everyone loves the different Salmons and the steaks as well. The Quality and the taste of the KC products are the best around. You can buy from your local market, however, more than likely you will not get the Quality that you will recieve from KC Steak Co. Try the Salmon as well as other items, you will not be disappointed. For sure your guest will be very happy with the foods you served them from the KC Steak Co. Try Em, You'll Love Em... Wayne and Janet Brawner

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy and Good! I bought the salmon filets from Kansas City, and I was very pleased with them. With the Holidays coming, I want a meal that was easy, quick and good. I took the filets out the night before, marinated them, and cooked them on the grill. They were excellent!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Mediocre At $15 an 8 ounce filet, this should have been a wondrous salmon--not so. I could have ordered dozens of items from KC Steakhouse that were better. Lots of butter and lemon did not help--maybe hollandaise or bearnaise would have. You could bypass this item with no problem.
