Cut from our aged beef tenderloin, these petite 2oz Filet Mignon Medallions have all of the melt-in-your-mouth tenderness as our traditional Filets. Perfect when you want a lighter meal, but crave the deliciousness of the Filet Mignon. Use them in a variety of dishes including kabobs and stir-fry.

  • Cooking

    Cut from the Tenderloin, these pieces are so tender. Use a dry, high heat method such as grilling, roasting, pan-frying, or broiling.

    Cutting into the meat to check doneness lets juice escape. Use the touch method. Touch the meat. If it feels soft and leaves an imprint, it is rare. If it is soft but slightly resilient, it is medium-rare. When it feels firm, it is overdone.

    We highly recommend using a meat thermometer for additional accuracy. Internal temperatures are listed below:

    rare 120°-130° md. rare 130°-140° medium 140°-150°

This time I cooked in a preheated 450 degree toaster oven, I sprinkled garlic and pepper on the steak and cooked it. Oh my was it good. The medallions come prepackaged four to a pack. A toaster oven is a great way to cook these fast. Two tenderloins (4 oz) is 20 grams of protein and only 320 calories. It was easy to get these to a nice medium rare. They are juicy right out of the package. I cooked two at a time...and it was all I could do not to go back for more. They are shrink wrapped. Great to save sapce. Great to have on hand.

I ordered these tenderloins as well as some steaks and fillets. These little nuggets were beautiful to look at. I was a little hesitant as to how to prepare. (That's what google is for). Anyway....I brought them to room temp...sprinkled them with the seasoning packet which was thoughtfully supplied. I did a quick sear at high heat on all sides then threw in some butter along with whole mushrooms. I lowered the heat to medium and basted with the melted butter for about 2 minutes. I served with baked potatoes and a spring salad mix and this rivaled the best meal you might get at a premium steak house. Go ahead...order them...you will not be disappointed.

They are only 2 ounces each so the package of four is not quite enough for a meal for two so I usually pair the steak with some type of seafood - usually about four to six shrimp per person - to make it a surf and turf meal. I would highly recommend these!

    How long to cook these in a nu wave oven?
