Roasted or grilled, you can't go wrong with our premium American lamb. Classic and sought-after cut like a whole delicious leg. Our lamb has a mild, buttery flavor making it a meal to be savored and enjoyed. Raised in Colorado, on a 100% grass fed, grass finished diet, with no added hormones or antibiotics - this lamb will make any dinner a delight.

  • Cooking

    Mild, lean, and tender are words that not only describe the lamb flavor and texture - but also depict the way in which our lamb was bred and raised. Lamb should be juicy and tender when cooked. A common method of preparation for lamb legs is roasting (cooking meat at a moderate temperature for an extended period of time).

    Thaw leg of lamb in refrigerator for 48 to 72 hours before preparing. Preheat oven to 325F. Remove leg from packaging (leave tied during cooking) and place on a rack in an open, shallow pan, fat side up. Bake for approximately 25-30 minutes per pound (for medium rare). Remove from oven and cover for about 10-15 minutes before carving. Internal temperature will rise about 5-10 degrees upon standing.

    To make slicing easier, let lamb stand for 5-15 minutes before slicing. Keep in mind that the meat will continue to cook slightly upon standing, so remove lamb at a somewhat lower degree of doneness than you would serve.

We prepare the lamb by scoring the top and coat with fresh minced garlic which brings out the flavor of the lamb. We cook enclosed in aluminum foil so the lamb stays moist from the juice. Previously, the Australian lamb seem to be the best. However, we feel this lamb is better.

Every slice had a lot of fat running through it compared with other meats. Therefore, by the time you cut off all the fat on a slice, there was not that much meat left to eat. We had over 12 people here, and they were all a little taken aback by that. We will not purchase this item again.

There was so much meat for two people that we had it for days for sandwiches and dinners, but each day was as good as the day before. I also had it chopped up in a salad. There was a small amount of fat and gristle but overall the meat was very good

    Is your lamb hormone free? Antibiotic free? Does your lamb consume GHO feed? Organic? I do not mind the price for Organic if it is offered.
