Southern Style Chicken Fried Steak with Gravy is rated 2.5455 out of 5 by 11.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from We enjoy these We've ordered these a couple of times and are enjoying them. They are HUGE, by the way. With the gravy I found that just a little kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper made it good. I don't follow the cooking directions, however, for the steaks. I vacuum seal mine when I get them (one per bag) and then I take one out of the freezer for a little bit. They will thaw quickly. Then I just do a fast pan saute with a little butter and olive oil - few minutes on each side and they are crispy and nice. I hope they keep having them because I will keep buying them. I'm just not up to making this sort of thing, on my own, anymore

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't buy I bought the chicken fried steak with white gravey for the first time. The steaks from Kansas City Steaks are fabulous but the chicken fried steak is horrible. I wish I hadn't tried something new.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from What a disappointment! Where is the meat? This is supposed to be your forte. A little thin strip that is hard to identify. Covered with a tasteless flour.or something. A $3 Marie Calender is gourmet in comparison.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Chicken Fried Steak Honestly, I was not impressed with this product: the meat was too minimal, very overpowered by the breading. The flavor of the breading was pretty good, but the pork sausage gravy was all wrong for this steak. That gravy would be more suited to biscuits, not steak and it was a bit too salty. Love your steaks, particularly the Kansas City Strips; will continue purchasing steaks, but not the chicken fried steak.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from You need to ditch the Sausage Gravy We tried the Chicken Fried Steak for the first time this past week! So So. However, your choice of gravy with sausage bits detracted from the Steak. Being a connoisseur of Chicken Fried Steaks, you need to use only cream gravy; with a heavy those of pepper! Will try that on our own, the next time we have them.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from almost diner good good meat. i was half expecting all grizzle and fat hidden under the breading but it was all good meat. the only problem i have is not near enough gravy....steaks should be able to be smothered and the small little cup of gravy this comes with is not enough, not even close.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Chicken fried steaks Huge disappointment. Meat had no flavor, gravy didn't help. Cutting it up was awful--breakding just breaks apart from the meat. This item does not represent the quality and flavor that I'm accustomed to from KCS. Sorry....
