Sweet and Sour Shrimp Sauce for Kansas City Strip Steaks

Ingredients:
Preheat in Saucepan:
1/2 tsp. sesame oil
1/2 tsp. canola oil

Add:
1/2 minced onion
1 finely chopped jalapeno pepper
1 oz. (approx.) fresh ginger root
zest (outer skin) from one large orange (chopped)
1/2 tsp. thyme
1/2 tsp. oregano

Additional Ingredients:
1/2 - 3/4 lb. shrimp
12 oz. can of frozen orange juice
Directions: Sauté ingredients about 10 minutes. Add one 12 oz. container of frozen concentrated orange juice and cook for another 15 minutes on slow heat. Season to taste and add 1/2 lb. - 3/4 lb. small shrimp. Cook 3 to 5 minutes and serve over Kansas City Strip Steaks or Filet Mignon. Garnish with chopped mint or parsley. This recipe serves 8, adjust as necessary.
