Jamaican Beef Pattie Sauce

Ingredients:
1/2 cup canned coconut milk, stirred well before measuring
8 shallots, peeled and chopped
3 tbsp. chopped fresh thyme (lemon thyme if available)
2 tbsp. curry powder
1-2 habanero peppers; seeded and chopped (use gloves)
1/2 tsp. salt
Directions: In 1 quart saucepan, blend all ingredients. Saute over medium heat; stirring occasionally until shallots and peppers are softened and ingredients have thickened to a sauce. Use as sauce for Steakburgers that have been cooked to your preference.
