I had a little trouble with my first order, but your helpful gal bailed me out. I wanted to get the free 12 steakburgers, which she said were far better than other steak companies. In fact, I ordered 3 different packages and got them every time! And she was right. My wife and I tried your steakburgers last nite, after we found out there was a 3 1/2 hour wait at our favor restaurant for New Years Eve dinner.. The steakburgers were terrific, and I've lost half of my taste due to medication. My wife hasn't been feeling well, but said they really settled well on her sensitive tummy. Bravo! We have always ordered Omaha Steaks, and were quite happy with them. This year, for the first time, we recieved your catalog and decided to try your product. We liked the idea of the flat rate shipping, as opposed to, the more you order the more we charge for shipping. Tonight we decided to cook dinner at home, instead of going out for a rushed, over priced new year's eve dinner. So, this afternoon, I defrosted two of your filet mignons, pre-baked some potatoes in the micro-wave and wrapped them in foil and waited for cooking time. About an hour and a half before dinner, I seasoned the steaks with your seasoning blend and put them back in the refirgerator. I pulled them out about 45 minuteds before cooking time. My husband pre-heated the grill, put the potatoes on for about 12 minutes and then put the steaks on. He cooked them according to your directions for medium and we just finished the best steak dinner that we have ever had! From now on, it is only Kans as City Steak Company for us! Since Christmas, we have had tonights steaks, as well as the tenderloin tips that I quick seared and served with mushrooms, sweet onions and pea pods, over a bed of saffron seasoned basmati rice. I couldn't be happier! We will be enjoying your tenderloin roast in the near future and, if weather continues to hold in the North East, some of your gourmet burgers will be hitting the grill really soon!

I like to order my meat online because it's easier for me and for some reason it seems that the quality of the meat in the grocery stores surrounding my home has not been the best in the last couple of years (unless I want to pay an arm and a leg for it). Just recently I received the ribeyes I ordered - my first order from Kansas City Steaks. The steaks were just as promised - full of marbling and tender as can be. I ordered your Filet Mignons for a Christmas Present for my nephew Matthew who is a big steak eater. He saved them for our New Years Eve dinner, and broiled them on his grill. I have to let you know they were the best steaks we have ever had. There were 5 of us and Matthew grilled all 6 Filets, and there was not one crumb left. The filets were wrapped in the hickory smoked bacon, and the flavor was outstanding. We did not even use our steak knives that night. We've been KC Steaks customers for a long time and have always loved the products and service. I wanted to tell you how great our last order turned out. I placed the order below and received it on Wed, Sept. 9th just as scheduled. I almost wish the order had been late this time! Sadly, Hurricane Ike ripped through our city (we're just outside of Houston) and caused loss of power to over 2 million people (along with a LOT of damage to homes, trees and property). We were so fortunate and still have our home. After being without power for a few days we knew we had to do something with all of the fine meat we had ordered. We had a small "party" and grilled some of the steaks and offered them to any neighbors who wanted one. We still had a LOT of meat left so I decided we could give it to the local police and fire departments. They were working so hard during this trying time and as it turned out, they had been unable to find much food to feed themselves! It worked out perfectly. We were able to share our bounty to help some folks and prevent a total loss on the meat. We did lose most everything else in our freezers, but our police and firemen were well fed and happy! They really appreciated the steaks and wanted to know where I got them. You may have some new customers in the future! I just wanted to tell you how MUCH your product is appreciated, and especially how much it was needed at this time. I'll certainly reorder my last order, as soon as I'm sure our electricity will stay on!

Hi, I just received my 3 slabs of ribs and two briskets. I never ordered from Kansas City Steaks. I just had a slab of the ribs and you have got to be kidding me, this is the best ribs I have ever had in my whole life! They're so very meaty, moist, and fall off the bone delicious. I was afraid the ribs were going to be salty but not at all. The seasoning is perfect and the sauce is not overly sweet but delicious and you can really taste the meat. Wow, incredible. The size and thickness can't be beat. There are some popular ones out there but they're flat as a pancake! Incredible and that's why you guys are #1. Please please keep up the good work. My daughter had prime rib for the Holidays and she had never cooked it before. Kansas City Steak Company did all the work and she got the praise! The meat was wonderful. The next day she baked the Pillsbury French loaf bread and we had prime rib sandwiches. Thanks for taking all the work and worry out of buying and cooking Prime Rib. There was very little fat (some of course is necessary for flavor) and the meat melted in your mouth. I know she will order them again, they were delicious!

The other day my husband found a Kansas City steak in the back of the freezer that we didn't know was there. It had been there for two years. My favorite is the Prime Rib Roast. To me, it is Perfection made Simple! My favorite way of serving it is to cook it medium rare, time is exactly as the instructions say. Serve it with Sour Cream mixed with prepared horseradish to taste. Nothing better in this world!

Just got the USDA Prime Porterhouse steaks and a pack of 6oz. steakburgers. The porterhouse was the best I had ever eaten. WoW and the steak burgers are awesome. Just over a week ago QVC had your smoked ham on their program. I ordered it and it came at the promised time. I am a single person but cut it up and placed almost all of it in the freezer along with the bone. I found the smoked ham to be very very good and moist. Lots of times a smoked ham is dry and when you warm it up one has to put a bit of water with it. Not yours. I enjoyed it very much. I like the way you shipped it in the styrofoam container with the dry ice. It kept the ham cool until I was able to place it in the fridge for later cutting up. This is the first time I ordered one of your products either directly through you or on QVC. Sometime in the future I may order again. Thanks again for such a good product.

I have bought Kansas City prime rib for the previous 5 Christmas dinners. This past year, the grocery store had a great deal on prime ribs, so we caved in and bought one. BIG MISTAKE! We should have stayed with the roast that has never gone wrong, the one that you could cut with a spoon.

I just have to tell you being a lover of steaks, you have the best! My mother has given us kids your steaks for a couple of years now and they are just delicious. I have found that to get the best taste, grill them frozen. No kidding the juice stays in them and they are just the best cooked that way. Cook them on one side for about 15-20 minutes and flip them. Oh my god , they are soooo goood. We used to get Omaha steaks and they just aren't as great as yours. Keep up the great taste and I hope my suggestion is helpful. Try it. Thanks so much. Tom H

Dear KCSC: This past December, I placed my first-time order for a spiral ham and held my breath until it arrived. To my delight, this was the best spiral ham we have had, for a few reasons. I was able to use almost ALL of the ham whereas hams from the other "big box" chains only provide me with about 60% edible ham. The heating instructions were perfect and provided us with a delicious, moist ham. Finally, you provided a generous packet of glaze which enhanced an already perfect ham. I just spoke with my son to whom I sent this gift. He's a real red meat lover and he raved about the steaks. Said there wasn't an ounce of waste on them..... his dog was very disappointed. The meat was very tender and as good, if not better, than some he'd had in "Steak Houses". As he's the only person I would purchase something like this for, the next possible time I'd be doing that would be for his birthday in April. His wife is a vegetarian and they have no children so, as he still has 5 of the 6 left, he won't be needing more before then. The best prime rib roast I've ever had and I am 72 years old and not a great cook. Being on a fixed income I saved a little each month til I had enough to purchase it. Hi, I ordered one of your "Traditional Rubbed Prime Rib" roasts as a Christmas present to my brother last December. He never did use it until his Birthday in March. He tells me that it was, possibly, the finest piece of beef he has ever eaten. He was really impressed. His small dinner party was quite a hit. I have ordered beef as gifts to him from others in the past and it never worked out as expected BUT this time it worked out very well. Just thought I'd let you know.

I think there may be a conspiracy behind my last order at Kansas City Steaks. When I received my order there were a couple of items included that I didn't order and some of my items were not included. One of the items I received in error was chicken breast. I called Kansas City Steaks and they corrected the order with no questions asked. Thank you! Now for the conspiracy part - Chicken breasts, four for about $20.00. I thought who in their right mind would pay $5.00 for a chicken breast. I can buy a whole chicken for less than $5.00. Well, I must say, they were the best chicken breasts I have ever eaten. They were moist, tender and they plumped when cooked. I just couldn't believe how good they were. I think you sent me those chicken breasts so I would start buying then from you. And, if you did - it worked. No more store bought chicken.

The reason I am writing you is to tell you that I think I had this in the freezer for a year or so and most important, after talking to Melissa I wasn't so afraid I would screw it up. Here comes, are you ready? The meat was so good and tender, the meat thermometer read 150 and it was the best roast, equivalent to dinner at a restaurant for about $25.00 per person or more. I normally tenderize everything, but I didn't tenderize this. I only added some chopped garlic. I couldn't believe how good the leftovers were tonight.
