Kansas City Steak Company burgers can be prepared from either frozen or thawed. Use easy peel corner to remove top of plastic and take out patties. Burgers that are 5 ounces or less are packages 2 per vacuum seal with wax paper separating each patty. Be sure to remove the wax paper before cooking.
No matter what your cooking method, be sure to cook to an internal temperature of 160°F, regardless of meat color.
On the Grill - Sear burgers 1 minute on each side over direct heat to seal in juices. Move to indirect heat. Grill for 6 minutes per side, checking to ensure patties are not burning. Do not press burgers with spatula.
Grilling Machine - Preheat 5 minutes. Place burgers on grilling machine and close lid. Cook approximately 6 minutes, or until internal temperature reaches 160 degrees.
Broiling - Preheat oven broiler for 10 minutes. During broiling, the oven door on electric ranges should remain ajar; the oven door on gas ranges remains closed (consult your owner’s manual for specific broiling guidelines). Place burgers on broiler pan rack and cook for approximately 6 minutes per side, or until internal temperature reaches 160 degrees.
Pan Frying - Preheat a skillet or grill pan, place burgers in pan, cook on medium heat, flipping occasionally, until internal temperature reaches 160 degrees.

from aweful The steak burgers looked and smelled awful. I cooked them on the grill anyway, my husband took one bite and said they were bad, don't feed them to kids. I tossed them and garbage and ordered pizza. So dissapointed

from Solid Burgers I feel that people are being a little harsh with their reviews of the "Classic Steakburgers". I live 30 miles from the closest supermarket. I am happy to have these frozen Steakburgers as an easy and tasty meal option. Yes, if you go out and buy fresh ground meat from a quality supermarket that will trump these burgers. However, if you look at the burgers of their own merits they are really good. They taste good, have good texture and leave you feeling satisfied after consuming them. I have had various frozen burgers over time and these are well put together and flash frozen which does less damage to the food than slower freezing methods. Don't be afraid to try these burgers if you are looking for a good burger these are easily worth the cost. If you are a picky with your burgers, than you shouldn't buy any frozen burger and stick with getting burger ingredients from a local store. Instead I would suggest that you try their Filet Mignon or Kansas City Steak cuts instead of the burgers if you want to experience the quality that this company can delivery. Either way enjoy! from Better burgers at any supermarket My wife and I received these steakburgers as an anniversary gift and for the price paid for these burgers we expected superior taste to burgers bought at the grocery store but we were wrong. These were some of the most tasteless burgers we have ever had.and any burger I can buy at our regular grocery store has far superior taste for a fourth of the price.

from New customer...not again The steak burgers were unbelievably bad. You all really need to taste them as they were horrible..tasteless. One side of the frozen patty was normal color, the other side was grey. Thawed out in refrigerator. I didn't use seasoning package as good quality burger needs nothing but salt. My doggies will get the remaining ones so it doesn't go to waste.

from tough Have purchased many steaks over the past few years, and always fantastic, but this time received a box of 12, ten oz KC strips a few weeks ago, cooked 2 that looked identical and they were tough as all heck, tasty, but tough. Haven't tried any of the other 10 in the box, but I hope those 2 are the only bad ones.

from Poor Steak Burgers I grilled a few burgers about a month ago and almost got sick just watching them cook. I tried to eat one, but it did not taste good so I threw them all always. In my opinion, they were like very cheap ground beef and I would never order them again.
